Key Points from portion we watched:

-boys aged 14 would be separated from the regular society and train in military.
-Shaka Zulu gave his name to the Zulu people. He unified them through his battles.

-watched ceremonial warriors
-Shaka Zulu invented the type of spear the Zulu used and the bull horn battle tactic.
We watched a potion of the History of the World in 2 hours (the portion of man's evolution in Africa)
Africa is the cradle of civilization.
Discussed the oversimplification of the History of the World and the inaccuracies of the Barring Straight land bridge (although yes a land bridge, there is much evidence that humans were on the North and South American continent well before this land bridge.)
Also discussed the other theories of mans beginnings. Evolution and variations of, Intelligent Design, and the Alien Theory. We discussed the science behind each and why Evolution is the most widely accepted theory that exists today.
