*Today we took a little bit of time to go over an Earthquake drill. The main motto is : drop, cover! & hold on. Here is a link to a check list of ways to become aware & how to put together your own earthquake preparedness kit:
http://www.getprepared.gc.ca/_fl/rthqks-eng.pdf
*We also talked of Hinduism. An optional assignment is to make your own Hindu (or version of) ALTAR on a table, dresser, in a corner or a counter-top in your home. Your altar should have a puja; a tray with worship offerings like food, drink, incense & flowers. An oil lamp or candle & pictures and / or statues (you can make this) of your god or goddess that you admire & worship. Your altar is a sacred space to pray, meditate, & reflect. If you'd like, draw a picture or take a picture of your alter & share it with the class.
