Opening, meditation,
Homework; Discuss a Persian Invention.
Thanks for sharing all the interesting inventions, we had hygeine products (soap, deoderant and better tasting toothpaste), batteries (with great pictures), restaurants and baked goods, weaponry, the water bed (goats skin filled with water), bricks (the rich had baked bricks which helped with insulating home while the poorer folks had just 'raw' bricks), gardens (for just the beauty of it) and the chariot. Lots of great finds!
Comaparison on Assyrian rule to rule under Cyrus the Great and the quiz against the mind sucking block.
Leslie's Culture Game; 2 groups, 3 rules, 1 (or 2?) envoy (s)
Legend of Chess, "The Art of Asha"; I will read this out-have chess boards-pieces-modern day 'chess' book (show "times squared" on the 64 squares of the chess board)
Part III, Engineering an Empire, which will cover:
-Darius III, R.Road; rest stations & Inns, watchmen were stationed, 20' wide chip based
-Canals; east to west, 130 miles long
-Greece threatened by Persia; Darius-pontoon bridge, Battle of Marathon 486 BC
-Darius on his way to Egypt
-Xerxes; heir to the throne, 480BC
Brief talk about the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the 'Cyrus cylinder', and the language of the Phoenicians (which the Persians adopted)...wrote backwards, with no spaces AND no vowels.
Made clay Cylinders.
